Steward's Report
An out of competition sample was taken from Nurse Rosie on 27 June 2023 pursuant to GAR 139.
Two Hat Pat, Little Brew, Nurse Rosie and Walking Tora were qucik to begin. Platonic was slow to begin.
Nurse Rosie - faltered first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right tricep. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Platonic - trailed the field throughout the event underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left gracilis. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer Mr J Frewin regarding Platonic’s performance. After hearing submissions from Mr J Frewin, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards deemed the performance of Platonic unsatisfactory. Platonic must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 129, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track on the first turn and deemed it satisfactory for racing.
