Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Ellie Bliss.
Smoking Sophie was quick to begin. Ellie Bliss and Zipping Dudley were slow to begin.
Smoking Sophie, Together We Can and Echo Chamber collided approaching the first turn severely checking Smoking Sophie in turn checking Echo Chamber; Smoking Sophie lost ground as a result. Together We Can and Ellie Bliss collided approaching the home turn.
Smoking Sophie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right carpal wrist sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to handler Mr Dylan Sharp, the representative of Rule The Galaxy as some significant betting fluctuations were noted by Stewards. Mr Sharp explained that the kennel were expecting a forward showing in this event, however was unsure if connections had supported the greyhound. Mr Sharp's comments were noted and a sample was taken for analysis.
