A pre-race sample was taken from Parasite.
Parasite and Crown Ella were quick to begin. Raw Attitude was slow to begin.
Parasite checked off Crown Ella soon after the start. Parasite, Raw Attitude, My Dilemma, Golden Avatar, Just The Marjen and Aston Shadow collided approaching the first turn severely checking Golden Avatar. Raw Attitude, Parasite and Just The Marjen collided on the first turn severely checking Just The Marjen which lost ground as a result. Parasite checked off Aston Shadow on the home turn. Aston Shadow checked off Raw Attitude entering the home straight.
Stewards noted the muzzle of My Dilemma became dislodged during the running of the event.
Just The Marjen underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
