A pre-race sample was taken from Struck Gold.
Handy Point and Struck Gold were quick to begin.
Handy Point and Struck Gold collided soon after the start. Jumping Jack and Sound The Bugle collided approaching the first turn. Sound The Bugle lost ground on the first turn and tailed off.
Sound The Bugle underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left quadriceps and left triangle muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Sound The Bugle – Stewards were satisfied with the boxing of the greyhound and removed the boxed first endorsement for future events in accordance with GAR 52.
