Spun Out and Hear The Drum were quick to begin.
Spun Out checked off Hear The Drum on the first turn. Aussie Built checked off Rockabye Bear on the first turn. Spun Out and Rockabye Bear collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Stay Strong checked off Peaky Blazer on the home turn. Aussie Built raced wide in the home straight.
Spun Out underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right achilles. No stand down period was imposed.
