Steward's Report
Weblec Cruiser and She's So Sassy were quick to begin. Black Beaver and Raptor were slow to begin.
Weblec Cruiser and She's So Sassy collided on the first turn checking She's So Sassy. Raptor checked off Black Beaver on the first turn. Raptor galloped on the heels of Black Beaver entering the home straight. Jye's Jet turned its head outwards and visibly eased approaching the winning post.
Jye's Jet underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mrs L. Cockerell regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Jye's Jet was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs Cockerell pleaded guilty to the charge, Jye's Jet was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
