Steward's Report

A pre-race sample was taken from Crackerjack Dak.

Nockabout Aussie was slow to begin.  Zipping Brock and Ibrox Digger collided soon after the start.  Soho Rhythm, Phenomenal and Owen Bale collided soon after the start checking Phenomenal which collided with Ibrox Digger as a result.  Phenomenal and Owen Bale collided on the first turn.  Ibrox Digger checked off Soho Rhythm approaching the second turn and collided with Owen Bale.  Nockabout Aussie and Babylon Club collided on the second turn.  Babylon Club and Soho Rhythm collided on the third turn checking Babylon Club, Soho Rhythm and Phenomenal.

Phenomenal was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 12, it was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to it's left shoulder, left hamstring and right thigh.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. J. Thompson, the trainer of the greyhound Phenomenal regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn and the third turn. 

Owen Bale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to it's right thigh.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
