Steward's Report
Essential persons (both staff & participants) attending today, provided satisfactory evidence of vaccination or exemption under the State Government’s mandatory vaccination (workers) directions, undertook successful health screenings, wore facemasks, observed social distance requirements, and adhered to room density quotients that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.
Shima Magic was quick to begin. Snowy's Brother was slow to begin.
Naya Bale and Sazan Bale collided soon after the start. Cambria Bale and Taylen Bale collided soon after the start checking Taylen Bale. Naya Bale, Cambria Bale and Snowy's Brother collided approaching the first turn checking Cambria Bale and Snowy's Brother. Naya Bale checked off Sazan Bale on the first turn. Snowy's Brother checked off Hummock on the first turn checking Taylen Bale, Cambria Bale and Adler Bale. Hummock and Adler Bale collided approaching the home turn checking Hummock. Sazan Bale and Shima Magic collided on the home turn. Naya Bale turned its head outwards approaching the winning post and collided with Sazan Bale.
Naya Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 4, Naya Bale was found to have a left hindleg toe injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler, Mr Tom Dailly regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Naya Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Naya Bale was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
