Oh Suzie was quick to begin. Rio Hustler was slow to begin.
Franki Jay and Euchre John collided soon after the start. Shazbot, Ed Deeds and Saint Tess collided approaching the first turn checking Ed Deeds and Saint Tess. Euchre John and Rio Hustler collided on the first turn checking Euchre John which lost ground. Franki Jay and Saint Tess collided on the home turn. Euchre John crossed to the inside in the home straight.
Euchre John underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury and an abrasion to the left hind leg. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
