A pre-race sample was taken from Milwaukee Miss.
Zipping Petra, Maelynn Bale and Milwaukee Miss were quick to begin. Zipping Celeste was slow to begin.
Crackerjack Dirt and Irongate collided soon after the start. Crackerjack Dirt and Zipping Celeste collided approaching the first turn. Milwaukee Miss and Irongate collided on the first turn and again on the home turn. Zipping Celeste raced wide on the home turn.
Irongate underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
