Chase The Magic crossed to the rail soon after the start; checking Dundee Jester, Me Silly, Fearless Pigeon and Cawbourne Coco. Enchanting checked off Fearless Pigeon approaching the first turn. Me Silly, Cawbourne Coco and Wacky Wednesday collided approaching the first turn; checking Cawbourne Coco and Me Silly. Me Silly checked off Wacky Wednesday approaching the home turn; checking Me Silly and Cawbourne Coco. Fearless Pigeon checked off Chase The Magic in the home straight.
Fearless Pigeon underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs A Gurry regarding the racing manners of Fearless Pigeon in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mrs Gurry, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.
