Steward's Report
Flying Farrokh – Late scratching at 8:37 am when trainer, Mr M Giddings reported the greyhound to have a back muscle injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
There was no head-on vision available for this race.
Zipping Walter was quick to begin.
Montaya checked off Benchester soon after the start, causing Montaya to lose ground. Butternut and Benchester collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking Butternut.
Montaya underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hindleg toe. No stand down period was imposed.
