Crumb Snags was slow to begin.
Tokyo Ted, Elliott Ness and Aston Ruston collided soon after the start. Elliott Ness galloped on the heels of Aston Ruston on the first turn, checking both greyhounds Tokyo Ted galloped on the heels of Mobile Doll May on the first turn, checking Mobile Doll May and severely checking Tokyo Ted which lost considerable ground. Aston Ruston and Crumb Snags collided on the home turn. Aston Ruston raced wide on the home turn.
Tokyo Ted underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
