Steward's Report
All staff and participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the Kennel Block and Associated Buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of handling, boxing, starting and catching greyhounds.
In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 24.0 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.0 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.
Joey Mac was slow to begin. Little Billie was quick to begin.
Naha, Bakali George, Change Of Gear and Phaenon Bale collided soon after the start checking Naha and Bakali George. Change Of Gear and Phaenon Bale collided approaching the first turn. Naha and Bakali George collided approaching the first turn checking Naha. Joey Mac and Bakali George raced wide approaching the home turn. Joey Mac and Naha collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.
