Track Curator Mr J. Loudon advised that the outside track was deeply harrowed on Monday December 14. 

Urana Vieri - Trainer Mr C. Baker applied to the Stewards to withdraw Urana Vieri from this event as he had a vehicle breakdown.  As Stewards were satisified with the reason provided by Mr Baker his application was approved pursuant to GAR 23 (2). Mr Baker was advised that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 48 hours. The matter will be re–evaluated upon receipt of this evidence. 

Zipping Poh - New declared weight of 25.9kg, last raced at 24.5kg.

So Very Nice was very slow to begin (4 lengths).

Cat Noir, Ninja Girl Mia and Blazing Fast collided approaching the first turn checking Ninja Girl Mia and Blazing Fast. All Good Harmony, So Very Nice and Blazing Fast collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. 

Zipping Blossom was quick to begin. Finding Gobi, Happy Ruby and Bindi Boo were slow to begin.

Zipping Blossom and Starlight Amy collided soon after the start. Starlight Amy and Happy Ruby collided on the first turn. Finding Gobi and Happy Ruby collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Starlight Amy, Bindi Boo and Snow Onyx collided approaching the home turn. Zipping Blossom and Starlight Amy collided in the home straight. 

A post-race sample was taken from Little Bertha - the winner of the event.

Frainy's Well - Trainer Mr C. Baker applied to the Stewards to withdraw Frainy's Well from this event as he had a vehicle breakdown.  As Stewards were satisified with the reason provided by Mr Baker his application was approved pursuant to GAR 23 (2). Well Built and Kiss Me Kate were quick to begin.

Tinker Bono galloped on Kiss Me Kate soon after the start checking Kiss Me Kate. Tinker Bono, Kiss Me Kate, Buzz Out and Georgio Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Kiss Me Kate. Cayden Bale and Kiss Me Kate collided on the first turn. Tinker Bono, Buzz Out and Georgio Bale collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Kiss Me Kate checked off Buzz Out approaching the home turn and lost ground. 

Rimrock Sally and Aston Pinot were slow to begin.

Zipping Trish, Nigerian Kaboom and Udeyan Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Udeyan Bale. Nigerian Kaboom, Zipping Trish, Triskelion, Saintly Rose and Aston Pinot collided on the first turn checking Triskelion, Aston Pinot, Zipping Trish and Saintly Rose. Udeyan Bale and Zipping Trish collided approaching the home turn. Rimrock Sally and Aston Pinot collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Beach Master and Berkel Boy were slow to begin.

Beach Master checked off Rockstar Britt on the first turn. Kalkari and Sin City Agogo collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Berkel Boy and Yazid Bale collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Sin City Agogo, Berkel Boy and Hillbilly Road collided on the home turn checking all three greyhounds. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Tiggerlong Ginga.

La La Lucky and Running The Wind collided soon after the start. Calabrese Gino, Take A Rose, Jindivick and Tiggerlong Ginga collided soon after the start checking Calabrese Gino, Jindivick and Tiggerlong Ginga. Take A Rose and Aston Casino collided approaching the first turn. Calabrese Gino contacted the running rail approaching the first turn and again on the first turn severely checking Calabrese Gino. La La Lucky and Take A Rose collided on the home turn checking Take A Rose.

Calabrese Gino underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left shoulder. No stand down period was imposed.

Riverdale Bear and Aston Jansz were slow to begin.

Flash Angel and Aston Samara collided appproaching the first turn. Mizuki Rose, Kiss Mwah, Flash Angel and Aston Samara collided on the first turn checking Aston Samara and Kiss Mwah. Flash Angel and Mizuki Rose collided on the first turn checking Mizuki Rose. Magic Panther and Mizuki Rose collided on the home turn. Aston Jansz and Esmay craced wide in the home straight. 

Una Star was slow to begin.

Aston Moscato, Fawn Illusion and Harmon Bale collided soon after the start checking Fawn Illusion. Exclusively Mine and Low Planes collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Una Star and Low Planes collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Harmon Bale raced wide in the home straight.

Tiggerlong Bundy - New declared weight of 30.7kg, last raced at 32.3kg.

White Flower, Steampunk Tiger and Lily Rose Jazz collided soon after the start checking Lily Rose Jazz. Steampunk Tiger and White Flower collided soon after the start checking Steampunk Tiger. He's A Geezer and King Brown collided approaching the first turn. Steampunk Tiger, He's A Geezer and King Brown collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Steampunk Tiger raced wide in the home straight. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Kraken Smick.

Aston Achilles and Zen Mistress were quick to begin. Mr. Lonely and Sarcasmic were slow to begin.

Floppy Roo - Trainer Mr C. Baker applied to the Stewards to withdraw Floppy Roo from this event as he had a vehicle breakdown.  As Stewards were satisified with the reason provided by Mr Baker his application was approved pursuant to GAR 23 (2). Mr Baker was advised that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 48 hours. The matter will be re–evaluated upon receipt of this evidence. 

Nana Rose was slow to begin.

Zambora Club and Stolen Jewels collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Patchie Two Dots, Know Success, Stolen Jewels and Send It Socks collided on the first turn checking Stolen Jewels and severely checking Send It Socks and Zambora Club. Know Success, Patchie Two Dots and Nana Rose collided approaching the home turn checking Patchie Two Dots and Nana Rose.

Send It Socks and Nana Rose collided after the winning post, causing Nana Rose to fall; Nana Rose collapsed on two occassions shortly after. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Charles Farrugia (via telephone), the Trainer of Nana Rose after he left the course today without Stewards permission and without having the greyhound thoroughly examined following the event.  Stewards issued Mr. Farrugia with a warning pursuant to GAR 42 (2). Acting in accordance with GAR 74 Nana Rose must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 72 and receive a veterinary clearance before any future nomination will be accepted.

Patchie Two Dots - Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right metatarsal fracture. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Cawbourne Toe - the winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Quick Transition.

Josephine and Quick Transition were quick to begin. Big Baccala and Kamari were slow to begin. Hooked On You and Chill Out Isla collided soon after the start checking Chill Out Isla. Hooked On You, Doonside Gem and Hasta Manana collided soon after the start checking Doonside Gem. Chill Out Isla, Big Baccala, Kamari and Doonside Gem collided approaching the first turn checking all four greyhounds. Hooked On You and Hasta Manana collided on the first turn checking Hooked On You. Big Baccala galloped on Kamari approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  

Satisfactory Trial:

Elanda Bale - (Cramp/Weight) - Field of 4, Distance 400m, Weight 28.7kg, Box 1, Placed 2nd, Time Run 23.27 - Comment: Cleared All Tracks.

Major Faith - (6 Month) - Field of 4, Distance 400m, Weight 33.2kg, Box 5, Comment: Major Faith stayed in the box, took no competitve part and was not cleared.
