Steward's Report
Wendalin Bale - Late scratching at 9.28am when Mr Corey Grenfell reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) lure driver, Mr Chris Chilcott did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
Full Moon Fever, Chill Out Webby and Disco Riot were slow to begin.
Horizon Princess and Bees And Honey collided soon after the start. Full Moon Fever and Chill Out Webby collided approaching the first turn. Spring Party and Bees And Honey collided on the first turn checking Spring Party, Full Moon Fever and Disco Riot. Horizon Princess and Full Moon Fever collided on the first turn checking Horizon Princess. Horizon Princess and Chill out Webby collided approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds. Spring Party checked off Disco Riot on the second turn causing Spring Party to falter and pull up. Yano Bale and Full Moon Fever collided approaching the home turn checking Yano Bale, Full Moon Fever and Disco Riot. Full Moon Fever checked off Disco Riot on the home turn. Yano Bale and Chill Out Webby collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.
Spring Party underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a suspected right tarsal fracture. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
