Steward's Report

A pre-race sample was taken from Monument Valley.

The start of this event was declared a false start due to the lure not being started when the green light was activated, as the catching pen gate flap was not fully raised. The start was aborted, and all greyhounds were removed from the boxes and inspected by the veterinary surgeon in accordance with GAR 56(6). All greyhounds were deemed fit to start and the event was restarted.

Fly Havoc, Rimrock Sally and Monument Valley were slow to begin.

Rimrock Sally collided with the rail soon after the start, lost ground and collided with and checking Fly Havoc. Pansy Parkinson, Georgio Bale and Follow The Que collided on the first turn checking Georgio Bale and Follow The Que. Follow The Que checked off the heels of Georgio Bale on the home turn. Sin City Agogo and Rimrock Sally raced wide on the home turn.

A post-race sample was taken from Pansy Parkinson - the winner of the event.

Rimrock Sally underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the right hindleg. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
