Cee Me Snoop and Rock Me Xanthe collided on the first turn. Invictus Murray was checked off Classified on the first turn, Invictus Murray lost ground severely checking Ripplebrook Glen, Mad McEnroe and Rock Me Xanthe, checking Cee Me Snoop. Scorching Ember and David Coin collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Mad McEnroe was checked off Ripplebrook Glen on the home turn. Scorching Ember and Rock Me Xanthe raced wide entering the home straight.
