Steward's Report
Throw Caution was quick to begin. Suzie Rose was slow to begin. Smoking Syd, Riccarton Weaver and Aston Dotty collided soon after the start checking Aston Dotty. Riccarton Weaver and Hurricane Keely collided approaching the first turn severely checking Riccarton Weaver which fell checking Hurricane Keely and Curnow's Blues. Curnow's Blues contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground. Hurricane Keely and Suzie Rose raced wide entering the home straight.
Riccarton Weaver underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.
Curnow's Blues underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the left stifle. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
