Aussie Built was slow to begin.
Doughnut, Distant Sun, Pansy Parkinson and Tinkert Scott collided approaching the first turn checking Distant Sun Pansy Parkinson and Tinker Scott. Pansy Parkinson checked off Tinker Scott on the first turn. Doughnut checked off Aussie Built on the first turn. Distant Sun and Pansy Parkinson collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.
Stewards noted that the muzzle on Pansy Parkinson became dislodged during the running of the event.
