Moraine Shadow, Brindi Yaala and Walkerie Bandit collided on the first turn severely checking Brindi Yaala. Cash No Credit checked off Moraine Shadow approaching the home turn. Moraine Shadow and Walkerie collided on the home turn. Lorna's Luck raced wide on the home turn. Belt Up Baron turned its head outwards and visible eased in the home straight hampering the runnning of Moraine Shadow.

Belt Up Baron underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg deltoid muscle injury A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Lee Rowe, the trainer of Belt Up Baron regarding the greyhounds racing manners in th ehome straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Belt Up Baron was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Rowe pleaded guilty to the charge, Belt Up Baron is suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Springvale Misty checked off Elope To Paris approachng the first turn severely checking Springvale Misty which lost ground as a result. Graphic Print checked off Blackpool Marvel on the first turn. Graphic Print checked off Calabrese Gino approaching the home turn. Cullquin Elijah and Dancing Rose collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Elope To Paris and Manitoba collided several times in the home straight checking Elope To Paris. Cullquin Elijah and Elope To Paris collided approaching the winning post.

Cullquin Elijah underwent a post-race veterinary examination at trainer's request and was found to have a left foreleg wrist injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Meeting Comments: Trainer Brett Nye presented I'm a Lawyer to the Stewards at Geelong this afternoon after the weight recorded at this greyhounds first start at Geelong on 18 September 2020 appeared to be erroneously recorded. As this was I'm a Lawyer's first start, that matter could only be resolved satisfactorily by checking the greyhounds actual weight as no history of recorded weights was available. After being weighed on-site, it clearly established that the weight recorded at the greyhounds first start could not possibly have been correct and it would be entirely unreasonable to not rectify the matter. Under the provisions of GAR 38 (1) - the Stewards deemed it nessesary to make such order that 33.7kg will be officially recorded as the correct weight at I'm a Lawyer's first start.
