Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore facemasks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Aston Fume, Jakey's Day and Matilda Tilly were slow to begin.  Gunner's Hawk and Bomber's Smokey collided soon after the start checking Gunner's Hawk.  Aston Fume and Gunner's Hawk collided approaching the first turn checking Gunner's Hawk.  So Joe Mac was checked off Light On Tackle on the first turn checking Bomber's Smokey and Jakey's Day.  Matilda Tilly faltered on the home turn causing Gunner's Hawk to check off Matilda Tilly, Matilda Tilly subsequently tailed off. Aston Fume raced wide in the home straight.

Matilda Tilly underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured right hock.  A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Blazin' Jewel was checked off Ton Eighty soon after the start.  Shallow and Mt. View Nancy collided several times approaching the first turn checking Shallow. Shallow and Mt. View Nancy collided on the home turn checking Mt. View Nancy.  Malizia and Ton Eighty collided entering the home straight checking Malizia.  Shallow was checked off Jackson's Creek in the home straight.  Mt. View Nancy and Blazin' Jewel collided several times in the home straight.

Hurricane Red crossed out approaching the home turn and raced wide.  What Price Bucks cramped and fell approaching the winning post.

What Price Bucks underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have cramped.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (cramp) What Price Bucks must perform a satisfactory trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

Ryben Jack underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Dybala and Belt Up Ronny were slow to begin.  Max Pick and Small Rose collided approaching the first turn checking Max Pick and Dybala.  Secret Package and Splinter collided on the first turn. Showboat Capers and Belt Up Ronny collided on the first turn.

Bomber's Queen and Calabrese Gino collided approaching the first turn.  Calabrese Gino was checked off Bomber's Queen on the first turn checking Crystal Kiss.  Bomber's Queen and Calabrese Gino collided entering the home straight checking Calabrese Gino.

Crouching Tiger was slow to begin.  Mt. View Emma was checked off Kingy Lights on the first turn checking Parumba Barty, Crouching Tiger and Astrolithology.

Pesky Miss crossed in soon after the start checking Peregrine Speed and Italia Bella.  Gobsmacked and Peregrine Speed collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Diaco the handler of Peregrine Speed and issued him with a warning regarding the manner in which he boxed the greyhound pursuant to GAR 51(10)(d).

Pilot Pete - Late scratching at 1.49pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr.C.Fulford was fined $100.

The start of this event was delayed by 7 minutes due to What Price Mason being vetted at the boxes.  What Price Mason was a late scratching at 5.57pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to an injured right wrist. A 5 day standown period was imposed.

Josie's Entity was slow to begin.  Onya Jakit and Josie's Entity collided on the home turn.

Evolution underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.
