Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore facemasks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Take A Sunflower and Hurricane Miss were quick to begin.  Cosmic Roy was slow to begin.  Forever Nineteen was checked off Big Bash Jonesy approaching the first turn.  Zipping Major was checked off Cosmic Roy approaching the first turn.  Big Bash Jonesy and Hurricane Miss collided on the first turn checking Foever Nineteen and Hurricane Miss, causing Zipping Major and Cosmic Roy to race wide.

Hurricane Pete was quick to begin. Hurricane Pete and Without Fear collided soon after the start. Mt. View Emma crossed in on the first turn checking Jacky's Eden and Adrianna. Jacky's Eden and Mt. View Emma collided several times on the first turn checking Jacky's Eden, Adrianna and Without Fear and causing Hurricane Pete to gallop on Mt. View Emma; Mt. View Emma was severely checked and causing Hurricane Pete fell as a result. 

Hurricane Pete underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right wrist.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Big Bash Perna and Akina Bear were slow to begin.  Retro Reece and Camulos collided soon after the start.  Natural Ivy crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Retro Reece, Camulos and Ha Ha Macgyver.  Ha Ha Macgyver and Big Bash Perna collided on the first turn. Retro Reece galloped on Camulos on the first turn.  Camulos brushed the running rail approaching the home turn. Retro Reece raced wide on the home turn.

Armani Arby and Agent Piper were slow to begin.  Looks Like Turbo crossed to the rail soon after the start and collided with Zipping Django and Dusty Fever checking Awesome Arby and Sweet About Lily.  Awesome Arby and Armani Arby collided approaching the first turn checking Awesome Arby and Sweet About Lily.  Spookie Charm faltered on the first turn and subsequently pulled up.  Dusty Fever, Looks Like Turbo and Agent Piper collided on the first turn.  Zipping Django, Dusty Fever, Looks Like Turbo and Agent Piper collided approaching the home turn. Looks Like Turbo and Agent Piper collided on the home turn.  Zipping Django and Dusty Fever collided several times in the home straight.  Looks Like Turbo clipped the heels of Zipping Django in the home straight.

Spookie Charm underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right flexor tendon and right monkey muscle. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Zipping Django underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a superficial laceration from the back muscle area to the metatarsal area. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to handler, Mrs Heather Collins and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. 

Chuck Of Love – Late scratching at 1.37pm by Order of Stewards.  No stand down was imposed.

Barrabooka, Ducati Monster and Zipping Whoopi collided soon after the start checking Ducati Monster and Zipping Whoopi.  Need A Jockey, Equalizer, Zipping Bates and Flying Flash collided soon after the start checking Need A Jockey, Equalizer and Flying Flash and severely checking Zipping Bates which faltered and pulled up as a result.  Barrabooka and Ducati Monster collided several times from approaching the home turn to the winning post severely checking both greyhounds.  

Ducati Monster underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right hip.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. M. Briganti regarding the greyhound's performance in this event. After viewing all available video footage and hearing Mr. Briganti's explanation Stewards deemed the performance of Ducati Monster unsatisfactory. Acting in accordance with GAR 71, Ducati Monster must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Zipping Bates underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right hock and an abrasion on the right achilles tendon.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Macy Lee was quick to begin. Baggy's Gold was slow to begin. Evi Bale, She's A Charm and Gracie's Girl collided soon after the start checking Gracie's Girl.  Cairnlea Pebbles crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Lady Lagertha, She's A Charm, Hook Along Book and Gracie's Girl. Evi Bale and Baggy's Gold collided on the first turn.  Lady Lagertha was checked off Baggy's Gold on the first turn.  Macy Lee and Cairnlea Pebbles collided several times approaching the home turn. Macy Lee and Baggy's Gold collided entering the home straight.  Lady Lagertha and Baggy's Gold collided approaching the winning post.

Aston Guiness underwent a veterinary examination prior to leaving the kennel block and was passed fit to race.

Entwined underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left back muscle.  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
