Steward's Report
New For One - Late scratching at 2:24 pm by Order of Stewards. After taking intial evidence from trainer Mr. C. Capuano the inquiry has been adjourned. New For One is stood down from racing for a period of 28 days under GAR 31.
The starter commenced boxing for this event early, due to confusion with the light from the judge's tower. Ikora Bale was initally placed in Box 1 before being withdrawn from the boxes when the start was aborted. The boxing process then recommenced.
A pre-race sample was taken from Bourne Maximum.
Bourne Maximum was slow to begin.
Ikora Bale and Fawkner Park collided approaching the first turn. Mizuki Rose checked off Zoe's Intention on the first turn. Bourne Maximum and Mizuki Rose collided approaching the home turn checking Bourne Maximum. Wrong Decision and Zoe's Intention collided approaching the home turn. Wrong Decision and Mizuki Rose collided in the home straight. Zoe's Intention checked off Fawkner Park in the home straight.
Fawkner Park underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left foreleg and injuries to the left elbow and right shoulder. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
