Tarranginnie and Rev Up Axel collided soon after the start. Tarranginnie checked off Rev Up Axel on the first turn, checking Ava's Choice. Ava's Choice and Modern Shadow collided on the home turn. Modern Shadow faltered approaching the home turn.
Modern Shadow underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg back muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
