Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Longstaff.
Rockstar Ohlmus and Scandalise were quick to begin. Lips Boloney was slow to begin.
Not Arandt, Dalisha Bale and Hey Vain Elaine collided soon after the start, checking Not Arandt. Rockstar Ohlmus, Scandalise and Aston Gates collided on the first turn; checking Scandalise and Dalisha Bale. Longstaff checked off Scandalise approaching the home turn. Lips Boloney raced wide on the home turn. Scandalise and Rockstar Ohlmus collided entering the home straight. Dalisha Bale turned its head inwards approaching the winning post, and collided with Aston Gates.
Dalisha Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg back muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative , Mr S Coulson regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Dalisha Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Coulson pleaded guilty to the charge, Dalisha Bale was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
