A pre-race sample was taken from Mr. Bent Lee.
Four Pillars and Slingshot Raven collided soon after the start checking Four Pillars. Pay The Prince and Slingshot Raven collided on the first turn. Four Pillars and Ernie All Sorts collided approaching the home turn checking Four Pillars which fell as a result. Tinker Mighty and Coolum Beach collided on the home turn. Tinker Mighty faltered on the home turn, lost ground and tailed off.
Tinker Mighty underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injuries to the left quadriceps, right calf and a spike wound to the left hind leg. A 14 days stand down period was imposed.
Four Pillars underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hock and left hind paw. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
