Kip Your Beast, National Girl, Master Zemnick and Braemar Camilita were slow to begin.
Amber's Dolly and National Girl soon after the start. National Girl, Master Zemnick and Pambula Power collided first turn. Lucknow Magic, Queen Lita and Amber's Dolly collided approaching the first turn. Lucknow Magic, Kip Your Best and Amber's Dolly collided approaching the home turn. Kip Your Best eased and failed to pursue the lure with due commitment from the approaching the home turn to the home turn severely checking Lucknow Magic. Amber's Dolly, Pambula Power and Braemar Camilita collided on the home turn.
Lucknow Magic underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left fibula injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Kip Your Best underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left calf. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr S. Kipirtidis, the trainer of Kip Your Best regarding the greyhounds racing manners from approaching the home to the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Kip Your Best was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Kipirtidis pleaded not guilty to the charge, Kip Your Best was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
