Steward's Report
Daintree Dynamo was quick to begin.
Just Blacky, Supa Shalala, Jan's Star and Arlecchino collided soon after the start. Just Blacky, Arlecchino and Backin' Bully collided approaching the first turn checking Just Blacky and Arlecchino. Supa Shalala contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground as a result.
Supa Shalala underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left lateral abdomen. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Following the event Carson County displayed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS). As a result, the greyhound underwent a veterinary examination and was found to be displaying clinical signs of Ataxia/Hypermetria, a spike wound to the right hind foot was also found. A 7 day stand down penalty was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr D. Basile, the repesentative of Carson County, Stewards acted in accordance with GAR 74 and Carson County must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) and receive a veterinary clearance before any future nomination will be accepted
A post-race sample was taken from Backin' Bully - winner of the event.
