I'm Going Home – New declared weight of 39.1kg, last raced at 40.4kg.
Lilly Lancaster and Miss Dina were quick to begin. I'm Going Home and Artemisia were slow to begin.
I'm Going Home faltered soon after the start and tailed off. Rall's Girl and Hoppy Lee collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Why Not Luv and Miss Dina collided approaching the first turn checking Miss Dina. Lilly Lancaster and Miss Dina collided on the first turn checking Miss Dina. Hoppy Lee and Artemisia collided approaching the home turn checking Hoppy Lee.
I'm Going Home underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. The trainer Mr Howell declined a re-vet.
Stewards spoke to Mr Geoffrey Howell, the trainer of I'm Going Home regarding its performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, I'm Going Home must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted. Stewards also spoke to Mr Howell and reminded him to wait on the instructions of the starter prior to boxing his greyhound (GAR 51(10)(a)).
