Mr Anthony Karabitsakos failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare One Babe for racing.  Stewards issued a warning to Mr Karabitsakos pursuant to GAR 46 (2).

Lilly Lancaster and Miss Dina were quick to begin.  I'm Going Home and Artemisia were slow to begin.

I'm Going Home faltered soon after the start and tailed off.  Rall's Girl and Hoppy Lee collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Why Not Luv and Miss Dina collided approaching the first turn checking Miss Dina.  Lilly Lancaster and Miss Dina collided on the first turn checking Miss Dina.  Hoppy Lee and Artemisia collided approaching the home turn checking Hoppy Lee.

I'm Going Home underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. The trainer Mr Howell declined a re-vet.  

Stewards spoke to Mr Geoffrey Howell, the trainer of I'm Going Home regarding its performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, I'm Going Home must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.  Stewards also spoke to Mr Howell and reminded him to wait on the instructions of the starter prior to boxing his greyhound (GAR 51(10)(a)).

Lot Coin Babe and Hurricane Billie collided soon after the start checking Lot Coin Babe.  She Got Fire and Shotgun Sally collided on the first turn checking She Got Fire, Shotgun Sally and Lot Coin Babe; severley checking Hurricane Billie.  Talulah Bale and Patricia Maureen collided on the home turn.  Sweet Swagger, She Got Fire and Lot Coin Babe raced wide in the home straight.

He Shall Johnny – New declared weight of 31.4kg, last raced at 32.5kg.

Weeona Gina was quick to begin.

Gee Dalton, He Shall Johnny, Mirror Max and Goldrush Rose collided soon after the start.  He Shall Johnny and Mirror Max collided on the first turn.  Mirror Max raced wide in the home straight.  

Nangar Rippa was quick to begin.  Uringa was slow to begin.

Cop A Hit and Magnus Keroma collided soon after the start checking Magnus Keroma.  Cop A Hit crossed to the inside approaching the first turn checking Zipping Leroy.  Zipping Dion galloped on Cop A Hit on the first turn severely checking Zipping Leroy, Uringa and causing Uringa to fall and Zipping Dion, Zipping Leroy and Cop A Hit to lose ground.  Cop A Hit raced wide in the home straight.  

Uringa underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind sesamoid injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Libby's Dream was quick to begin.  Fend Off was slow to begin.

Benny's Entity, Bit Fancy and Sisco Ride collided approaching the first turn checking Bit Fancy.  Lagoon Pirate crossed in on the first turn severely checking Benny's Entity, Sisco Ride and Velocity Dory; causing Bit Fancy to cross out.  Fend Off raced wide in the home straight.  

Sawan Sawan and Cloncurry Girl were quick to begin.  Royal Jebrynah was slow to begin.

Sawan Sawan, Cloncurry Girl and Max Dynamo collided approaching the first turn checking Sawan Sawan.  Royal Jebrynah checked off Pat Malone approaching the home turn causing Royal Jebrynah to stumble which lost ground as a result.  Sawan Sawan and Pat Malone collided on the home turn.

Loaded and Outlaw Donny were quick to begin.

Welsly Bale, Perfect Marshall and Shocked collided approaching the first turn checking Shocked.  Perfect Marshall and Up And About collided on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Shocked underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a split webbing to the left hind paw. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Geller Allen and Midnight Waltz collided soon after the start checking Geller Allen.  Valstrepo, Geller Allen and Slick Maggie collided approaching the first turn checking Slick Maggie.  Tearaway Train, Valstrepo and Party Mix collided on the first turn checking Valstrepo and Party Mix.  Valstrepo and Party Mix collided approaching the home turn, on the home turn and again entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.  

Refresh and Aston Rum collided soon after the start.  Rose Rose, Refresh and Zipping Benny collided on the first turn.  Hot Pies raced wide on the first turn and for the remainder of the event.  Ready And Armed checked off Ishmy Barry entering the home straight.
