Delta's Tiara was quick to begin. It's A Date was slow to begin.
Tiger Minstrel faltered approaching the first turn and tailed off. Delta's Tiara eased on the first turn. Delta's Tiara and My Bro Black collided on the home turn.
Tiger Minstrel was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.
Delta's Tiara was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained left monkey muscle and left wrist injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr T. Churchill, the representative of the greyhound Delta's Tiara regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Delta's Tiara was vetted and re-vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left monkey muscle and left wrist, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Delta's Tiara with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Churchill the representative pleaded not guilty to the charge, Delta's Tiara was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
