Steward's Report
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Meehan Barney engaged in this event on 23 January 2019 pursuant to GAR 79A.
The outside temperature at race start time was 26.6 degrees, the inside kennel temperature immediately prior to the race when the greyhounds were retrieved was 21.1 degrees.
Tarquin Bob and Spin The Trolley were slow to begin.
Slick Maggie and Joyce's Choice collided approaching the first turn. Midnight Storm and Meehan Barney collided on the first turn checking Spin The Trolley, Ruby's Cheekstar and Midnight Storm. Midnight Storm and Ruby's Cheekstar collided on the home turn. Ruby's Cheekstar and Viewing collided in the home straight. Spin The Trolley clipped the heels of Midnight Storm approaching the winning post.
Trainer Mr J. Carrodus-nagy requested that Slick Maggie be vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right shoulder injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
