Steward's Report
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Zipping Lucky engaged in this event on 21 January 2019 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Mr L. Fulford, trainer of Bossino declared a new weight of 31.1kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Bossino last raced at 29.3kgs.
Mrs J. Belsham, the representative of Iggy Wiggy declared a new weight of 27.5kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Iggy Wiggy last raced at 26.0kgs.
The outside temperature at race start time was 29.0 degrees, the inside kennel temperature immediately prior to the race when the greyhounds were retrieved was 18.4 degrees.
Farfalla Nera and Iggy Wiggy collided soon after the start. Iggy Wiggy galloped on Zipping Lucky on the third turn checking both greyhounds checking Bossino. Dr. Paulina and Zipping Lucky collided approaching the home turn. Iggy Wiggy raced wide on the home turn and lost ground. Bossino and Midnight Muscat collided entering the home straight.
Iggy Wiggy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right back muscle injury, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.
