This meeting was deemed hot weather affected.
The outside temperature when kennels opened was 32.7 degrees.
The outside temperature at race start time was 31.5 degrees, the inside kennel temperature immediately prior to the race when the greyhounds were retrieved was 21.5 degrees.
Zipping Benny was slow to begin. Zipping Benny was checked off Niamh's Double soon after the start. Niamh's Double and Inter Mimi collided approaching the first turn. Brindle Delight and Aston Mambo collided on the first turn checking Aston Mambo and Inter Mimi.
Niamh's Double was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, right chest muscle, left and right pencil muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
