Prior to the running of this event the outside temperature was recorded as 33.7 degrees. The kennel temperature was recorded as 20.7 degrees.
Early Express, Adonis Rose and Riverdale Sugar were slow to begin.
Adonis Rose galloped on Sazoo Icon on the first turn checking Sazoo Icon, severely checking Adonis Rose and Riverdale Sugar. Koitsenko and Trap Queen collided on the home turn. Adonis Rose and Riverdale Sugar collided on the home turn checking Adonis Rose. Early Express and Sazoo Icon collided approaching the winning post.
Adonis Rose was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
