Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr David Willcoks, the trainer of Gordette regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Gordette last raced on 21 September, 2018 and is returning to racing following a change of kennel. Mr Willcoks also declared a new weight for Gordette of 29kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Gordette last raced at 27.3kg.
Mrs Margaret Salvatore, trainer of Zade's Magic declared a new weight of 31.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Zade's Magic last raced at 32.9kg.
A pre-race sample was taken from Coolan Flash.
Prior to the running of this event the outside temperature was recorded as 33.7 degrees. The kennel temperature was recorded as 20.9 degrees.
Gordette was quick to begin.
Coolan Flash, Zade's Magic and Galloping Leo collided soon after the start checking Coolan Flash and Zade's Magic. Coolan Flash checked off Hit 'N' Split approaching the first turn. Hit 'N' Split and Galloping Leo collided on the first turn checking Galloping Leo causing Zade's Magic and Premier Jess to race wide. Premier Jess and Zade's Magic raced wide on the home turn. Premier Jess and Zade's Magic collided entering the home straight. Hit 'N' Split and Coolan Flash collided approaching the wining post.
