Straight Facts – Late scratching at 9.41am on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to Pyrexia. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
American Angel was quick to begin. Good Days Ahead was slow to begin.
Stewards spoke to Trainer Ms. Kate Jackson regarding the racing manners of Blue Rise turning in to the home straight. Ms. Jackson suggested that Blue Rise's racing manners may have been impacted by the greyhound's muzzle becoming partially disloged during the running of the event. Stewards noted Ms. Jackson's comments, viewed the available race footage and acted upon their own observations. Stewards took no further action.
