Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Ian Anderson, the trainer of Oriental Tarj regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Oriental Tarj last raced on 14 July, 2018 and is returing to racing following injuries to both wrists.
Prior to the running of this event the outside temperature was recorded as 34.7 degrees. The kennel temperature was recorded as 20.6 degrees.
Alonso Power was slow to begin.
Oriental Tarj and Why Not Hugh collided soon after the start. Monster Jam Jack and Alonso Power collided approaching the first turn. Alonso Power checked off Venus Allen approaching the first turn. Venus Allen and Poison Pen collided on the first turn checking Poison Pen and Oriental Tarj, severely checking Miss Pie.
Miss Pie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
