Flash Apollo was a late scratching at 7.57am due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Tarquin Bob was slow to begin.
Row Tay Tom, Tarika Tara and Ruby’s Cheekstar collided on the first turn checking Tarika Tara. Tarika Tara contacted the running rail approaching the first turn. Tarika Tara and Ruby’s Cheekstar collided on the home turn checking Ruby’s Cheekstar. Row Tay Tom and Ruby’s Cheekstar collided entering the home straight.
Tarika Tara was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left calf injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposd.
A post-race sample was taken from Doused In Mud - winner of the event.
