Midnight Storm was quick to begin. Spin The Trolley and Double Black were slow to begin.
Lock Pepper, Harvey Warbanger and Irinka Jenna collided approaching the first turn checking Irinka Jenna. Harvey Warbanger checked off Double Black on the home turn. Harvey Warbanger failed to pursue the lure with due commitment entering the home straight. Harvey Warbanger and Bossino raced wide and collided in the home straight.
Bossino was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left back muscle injury, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs C. Haigh, the representative of the greyhound Harvey Warbanger regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Harvey Warbanger was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Harvey Warbanger with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs Haigh pleaded guilty to the charge, Harvey Warbanger was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
