Bombardier King was quick to begin.  She Got Fire was slow to begin.

Santana and Ripplebrook Ben collided several times approaching the first turn to on the first turn checking Santana.  No Problem John checked off Ripplebrook Ben on the first turn.  Santana raced wide in the home straight.

Select Minister, Berry Bound and Hurricane Craig were slow to begin.

Hashtag Spolly, Berry Bound and Hurricane Craig collided on the first turn.  Sapphire Hawke checked off Bye Bye Brad on the first turn severely checking Sapphire Hawke and Berry Bound.  Mt. View Gift eased on the home turn and again in the home straight colliding with Vineyard on both occasions.

Sapphire Hawke was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained bruising to the left medial ulna and a spike wound to the right metacarpal, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Mt. View Gift was vetted and re-vetted following event 10.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr T. Whitford, the representative of the greyhound Mt. View Gift regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn and in the turn straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Mt. View Gift with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Whitford pleaded not guilty to the charge, Mt. View Gift was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A post-race sample was taken from Hashtag Spolly - winner of the event. 

Choose and Tekidanto were quick to begin.  Shooters Ali and Airly Spence were slow to begin.

Invictus Coco and Mayhem Express collided soon after the start checking Invictus Coco.  Spectator and Brindle Delight collided on the first turn checking Invictus Coco and Shooters Ali.  Airly Spence, Choose and Tekidanto collided on the first turn.  Choose and Tekidanto collided on the home turn.  Choose and Tekidanto raced wide in the home straight.

Brindle Delight was vetted and re-vetted following event. 7 It was reported that there the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hind foot, no stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs S. Trim, the trainer of the greyhound Brindle Delight.  Stewards deemed the performance of Brindle Delight unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Brindle Delight must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Poison Gas.

Titanium Boy checked off Oz Wizard approaching the first turn.  Galloping Bluboy checked off Oz Wizard on the first turn checking Rosie Glenda and Ima Ghost Buster.  Titanium Boy and Little Freck collided approaching the home turn checking Galloping Bluboy.  Titanium Boy and Rosie Glenda collided in the home straight. 

Midnight Storm was quick to begin.  Spin The Trolley and Double Black were slow to begin.

Lock Pepper, Harvey Warbanger and Irinka Jenna collided approaching the first turn checking Irinka Jenna.  Harvey Warbanger checked off Double Black on the home turn. Harvey Warbanger failed to pursue the lure with due commitment entering the home straight.  Harvey Warbanger and Bossino raced wide and collided in the home straight.

Bossino was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left back muscle injury, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs C. Haigh, the representative of the greyhound Harvey Warbanger regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight.  Harvey Warbanger was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Harvey Warbanger with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs Haigh pleaded guilty to the charge, Harvey Warbanger was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Flash Apollo was a late scratching at 7.57am due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Tarquin Bob was slow to begin.

Row Tay Tom, Tarika Tara and Ruby’s Cheekstar collided on the first turn checking Tarika Tara.  Tarika Tara contacted the running rail approaching the first turn.  Tarika Tara and Ruby’s Cheekstar collided on the home turn checking Ruby’s Cheekstar.  Row Tay Tom and Ruby’s Cheekstar collided entering the home straight.

Tarika Tara was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left calf injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposd.

A pre-race sample was taken from Undeniably.

Undeniably and Go Didda Go were slow to begin.  Straitline Willy was very slow to begin (5 lengths).

Mickie Raven and Charlie Haze collided on the first turn checking Charlie Haze.  Undeniably and Swift Gem collided approaching the home turn.  Go Didda Go raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.  

Go Didda Go was vetted and re-vetted following event 10.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist sprain injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Mr G. Beattie, the representative of Need A Zac declared a new weight of 31.7kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Need A Zac last raced at 33.2kgs.

Chopping Spuds was quick to begin.  Smoke Signals was slow to begin.

Parumba Taylah and Need A Zac collided soon after the start checking Need A Zac.  Nate's Awesome, General Missy and Select All collided on the first turn checking General Missy and severely checking Select All.  Need A Zac and Select All collided approaching the home turn checking Need A Zac.  Shafira and Smoke Signals collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Shafira raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Need A Zac was vetted and re-vetted following event 12.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Beattie, the representative of the greyhound Need A Zac. Stewards deemed the performance of Need A Zac unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Need A Zac must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Gunmetal Liam.

Select Teeman and Seeka Moment were slow to begin.

Able Bess and Veetee Mist collided approaching the first turn checking Veetee Mist.  Able Bess checked off Seeka Moment on the first turn.  Early Storm and Valley Reaper collided on the home turn.  Early Storm, Zipping Lucky and Veetee Mist raced wide in the home straight.

A post-race sample was taken from Valley Reaper - unplaced in the event.

Here's Tiger was a late scratching at 3:29pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to possible acidosis. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Porscha's Girl crossed to the rail soon after the start checking She's Got Dash and severely checking Dr. Darkrai.  Delta's Magic, Iona Misty and Bill Heeny collided on the first turn checking Delta's Magic.  Iona Misty, Bill Heeny and She's Got Dash collided approaching the home turn checking Iona Misty.  Delta's Magic and Dr. Darkrai collided on the home turn.  

Stewards opened an inquiry with Mr T. Cortese the representative of Here's Tiger regarding the late scratching in this event today. Stewards noted Mr Cortese's explanation. This inquiry remains open and has been referred for further investigation. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Primrose Diamond.

Dr. Watson was slow to begin.

Rayda and Tilley's Pie collided soon after the start checking Tilley's Pie.  King Of Diamonds, Rayda and Dr. Watson collided on the first turn checking Rayda and Dr. Watson.  King Of Diamonds and Dr. Watson collided entering the home straight checking King Of Diamonds.

King Of Diamonds was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hind toe injury and an abrasion to the right hind foot, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Mega McKayla trialled over the 400mtrs from box 1, weight 26.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 6. The time of the trial was 22.68, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6 ¼ lengths.  Mega McKayla was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Hurricane Billie trialled over the 400mtrs from box 2, weight 27.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 5th in a field of 6. The time of the trial was 22.68, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 12 ½ lengths.  Hurricane Billie was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results + New Declared Weight - Kuzma trialled over the 400mtrs from box 3, weight 37.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 6. The time of the trial was 22.68, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 10 ¼ lengths.  Kuzma was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) + Weight Trial - Stewards spoke to Mr D. Fasoli, the representative of Allen Gerwen regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Allen Gerwen last raced on 9 June 2018 and is returning to from a right back muscle injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Allen Gerwen trialled over the 400mtrs from box 6, weight 34.1kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 6. The time of the trial was 22.68, the greyhound won by a margin of ¼ length.  Allen Gerwen was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mrs K. Leek, the trainer of Trouper regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Trouper last raced on 25 July 2018 and is returning to from a right stopper injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Trouper trialled over the 400mtrs from box 7, weight 33.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 6. The time of the trial was 22.68, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of ¼ length.  Trouper was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - George Knockin' trialled over the 400mtrs from box 8, weight 26.1kgs, the greyhound was placed 6th in a field of 6. The time of the trial was 22.68, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 16 ½ lengths.  George Knockin' was Not Cleared.

Satisfactory Weight Trial (Solo)- Pandora Charm trialled over the 460mtrs from box 8, weight 25.2kgs. The time of the trial was 27.43, Pandora Charm was Not Cleared.
