Quest Allen and Solar Mocha were slow to begin. Noosa Jet, Quick Finance, Swift Ruby, Saint Ray and Emily Skye collided soon after the start, checking Swift Ruby. Noosa Jet, Quick Finance, Saint Ray and Emily Skye collided approaching the first turn, checking Saint Ray.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Adam Richardson, the trainer of Mossy Girl regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Mossy Girl last raced on 2 June 2018. Mr Richardson stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an achilles injury and being seasonal. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Mossy Girl trialled over the 410m from box one, weight 28.7 kgs, the greyhound was placed third in a field of four. The time of the trial was 23:698, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of five lengths. Mossy Girl was Cleared.
