Steward's Report
Almani Tee Rex, Hollywood Donuts and Zipping Keely collided approaching the first turn, checking Hollywood Donuts and Almani Tee Rex. Kintamani galloped on the heels of Frankie Moss on the first turn; causing both greyhounds to race wide. Frankie Moss and Alamni Tee Rex raced wide on the home turn.
Almani Tee Rex was vetted and after being re-vetted following event five, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr David Gehan, the trainer of the greyhound Almani Tee Rex regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Almani Tee Rex with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Gehan pleaded not guilty to the charge, Almani Tee Rex was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Horsham and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
