Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from George's Fever.
George's Fever, Black Rose Texas and Blue Berty were quick to begin. Miss Heart was slow to begin. Rumbling Home and Eadie Gee collided soon after the start. Black Rose Texas and Blue Berty collided soon after the start checking Blue Berty and Eadie Gee. Rumbling Home and Owlette collided entering the back straight. Blue Berty and Eadie Gee collided approaching the second turn. Rumbling Home eased on the home turn. Blue Berty and Owlette collided in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Stefanos, the trainer of the greyhound Rumbling Home regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Rumbling Home was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right pencil and groin muscles. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Rumbling Home with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Stefanos pleaded guilty to the charge, Rumbling Home was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
