Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. B. Seymour regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Posterior Chain. Stewards directed that Posterior Chain be boxed first in future events.

Stewards spoke to Ms. B. Breen, the trainer of Noble Weetbix and issued a warning regarding her failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing.

Atlantic Jewel looked inwards towards Artistic Genius in the home straight checking Atlanitc Jewel.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. M. Berry, the handler of the greyhound Atlantic Jewel regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Atlantic Jewel was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right groin, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Atlantic Jewel with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mrs. Berry pleaded guilty to the charge, Atlantic Jewel was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

George's Fever, Black Rose Texas and Blue Berty were quick to begin. Miss Heart was slow to begin. Rumbling Home and Eadie Gee collided soon after the start. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right pencil and groin muscles. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Rumbling Home with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Stefanos pleaded guilty to the charge, Rumbling Home was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Lucas The Great was a late scratching at 10:49 due to injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Sublime News was quick to begin. Liebig Street, Alezan and Chill Out Julie were slow to begin. Liebig Street and Alezan collided soon after the start. Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Donnelly, the trainer of Clover Lad regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Clover Lad last raced on 23rd February 2018. Mr. Donelly stated that the greyhound was resuming racing from a right wrist injury.

Roger's In Town faltered soon after the start and tailed off. Tiempo Dinero and Jar Man collided approaching the first turn. Clover Lad and Tiempo Dinero collided on the first turn checking Clover Lad. Tiempo Dinero and Are You collided approaching the home turn.

Roger's In Town was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back muscle. A stand down period of 60 days was imposed.

Mr No Worries was a late scratching at 2:29pm due to non arrival (GAR 31). Trainer Mr N.Mandylaris was fined the sum of $100. Stewards spoke to Mr Mandylaris regarding the non arrival, Stewards noted his explanation and did not impose a stand down period on the greyhound.

Forever Cousins and Hungry Heart collided soon after the start and approaching the first turn checking Forever Cousins. Satisfactory Trial Results - Black Treasure trialled over the 425mt from box 1, weight 27.0kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.15, the greyhound won by a margin of 3.75L. Black Treasure was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Toss The Dice trialled over the 425mt from box 3, weight 31.9kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.15, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.75L. Toss The Dice was cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Short Leash trialled over the 425mt from box 8, weight 25.0kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.15, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 10.25L. Short Leash was cleared.
