It's A Thrill was a late scratching at 11:00 am due to illness. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Ms V. Humphries, representative of Aeroplane Tippa declared a new weight of 32.0 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Aeroplane Tippa last raced at 30.8 kgs.
A pre-race sample was taken from Trumpeter.
Trumpeter, Zipping Mulga and Aeroplane Tippa were slow to begin. Evelyn, Trumpeter and Amber's Romance collided on the first turn checking Trumpeter and Amber's Romance, Trumpeter checked off Cookie Yap in the back straight. Fabulous Gee, Cookie Yap and Evelyn collided on the home turn. Evelyn and Cookie Yap collided approaching the winning post.
Evelyn was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
