Owlette was a late scratching at 10:59 am due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre-race sample was taken from Captain Jackie.
Deja Vu Rock and Captain Jackie were slow to begin. Parumba Taylah and Power Gem collided approaching the first turn. Power Gem, Deja Vu Rock and Spin The Trolley collided on the first turn checking Deja Vu Rock and Spin The Trolley. Power Gem contacted the running rail on the first turn. Power Gem checked off Deja Vu Rock approaching the home turn. Power Gem and Spin The Trolley collided approaching the home turn. Spin The Trolley and Power Gem collided on the home turn.
