Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Musselwhite, the trainer of Aye Drainer regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Aye Drainer last raced on 25th October, 2017. Mr. Musselwhite stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a right hind metatarsal injury.

Lieshout, the trainer of Parumba Chief regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Parumba Chief with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Lieshout pleaded guilty to the charge, Parumba Chief was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Flywheel Snowy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Bye pleaded guilty to the charge, Flywheel Snowy was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Ms V. Humphries, representative of Aeroplane Tippa declared a new weight of 32.0 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Aeroplane Tippa last raced at 30.8 kgs.

Zipping Todd was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the left hindleg and bruising to the left elbow, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

McMillan, the trainer of the greyhound Zipping Todd regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Zipping Todd with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr.McMillan pleaded guilty to the charge, Zipping Todd was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Take Home Sadie was vetted and after being re-vetted following the event, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion on the right hind toe.  No stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Take Home Sadie with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Bowman pleaded not guilty to the charge, Take Home Sadie was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A)  - Stewards spoke to Mr.C.Tilley , the trainer of Okawa In Black regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Okawa In Black last raced on 14th August, 2017.  Mr Tilley stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after retirement. Pursuant to GAR 77A,  Okawa In Black trialled over the 440M from box 1, weight 30.5kgs, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 25.20. The greyhound was beaten a margin of 6 lengths.  Okawa In Black was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results  - Kokoda Bobby trialled over the 440m from box 8, weight 30.8kgs, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 25.20.  The greyhound won by a margin of a neck. The greyhound was not cleared.
