Veracity was slow to begin. Rockalot and Unique Replica collided soon after the start. Allen Marky checked off Zou Star approaching the first turn. Zou Star and Allen Dymano collided on the first turn checking Rockalot and Unique Replica. Zou Star and Harvey Mills collided on the second turn checking Harvey Mills and Veracity. Veracity and Unique Replica collided on the second turn. Rockalot and Allen Dynamo collided on the second turn. Rockalot checked off Unique Replica on the third turn. Veracity faded in the home straight.
Veracity, which tired over the concluding stages of the event was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left triangle muscle and right hamstring. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
